S-OIL has been donating 70 million won annually since 2023.
The 'Seasonal Kimchi Sharing Activity' involves members of the Ulju County Women's Association and S-OIL volunteers directly making kimchi, such as young radish kimchi and diced radish kimchi, to deliver to elderly people living alone and low-income households struggling through the hot summer. The volunteer encouragement program aims to boost the morale of outstanding volunteers through events like the Volunteer Grand Festival.
The Food Market Support Project donates food and daily necessities to the Food Bank Market in Ulju County. Low-income households can visit the market, which operates in a convenience store format, to select food and daily necessities themselves, or, for seniors with limited mobility, home delivery is provided.
Park Sunghoon, Executive Director of S-OIL, who attended the delivery ceremony, said, "As a company based in Ulju County, we are deeply honored to provide donations for vulnerable groups in the area. We will continue to grow together with Ulju County through ongoing social contribution activities."
Lee Sungul, Ulju County Governor, stated, "Despite the difficult economic situation, I would like to express my special thanks to S-OIL, which continues to make donations for local residents, as well as to the Volunteer Center and the Community Chest of Korea, which practice giving and sharing at the forefront. I hope that the region and businesses will continue to join forces to foster a culture of mutual growth."
