Coway Signs Joint Business Plan Agreement with Gmarket, Expects Online Sales Synergy
Coway announced on May 21 that it has signed a Joint Business Plan (JBP) agreement with Gmarket, an e-commerce company affiliated with Shinsegae Group, to strengthen cooperation between the two companies.
The signing ceremony was held on May 20 at Gmarket's headquarters in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and was attended by Park Jiyeong, Head of Online Business at Coway, and Kim Chungil, Head of Hard Lines at Gmarket, as well as other representatives from both companies. Through the agreement, the two companies plan to jointly establish marketing and sales strategies to achieve shared business goals and to enhance mutual benefits.
Coway will intensify activities to enhance the competitiveness of its brand products, while Gmarket will actively provide Coway with major promotional and marketing resources on its platform. A dedicated Coway brand shop will also be created. As a result, Coway will be able to strengthen the sales competitiveness of its innovative products, including water purifiers, bidets, massage chairs, and mattresses.
