Since March, the Hampyeong County Public Health Center has been visiting local workplaces such as the Korea Electric Power Corporation Hampyeong Branch, CM Tech, the Armed Forces Hampyeong Hospital, and Hampyeong Post Office to provide customized health services for office workers.
The "Visiting Vascular Clean Health Office" program is designed for office workers who find it difficult to visit the public health center. Health professionals visit workplaces to conduct blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol measurements, InBody tests, and health consultations. The program aims to detect individuals at risk for chronic diseases early and to encourage healthy lifestyle practices. It will be operated through December.
In addition, education is provided to prevent high-risk cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. The topics include knowing one's own blood pressure and blood sugar levels, prevention and management methods, managing complications, and how to respond to early symptoms of stroke and myocardial infarction.
Local companies wishing to participate in the program can apply through the Visiting Health Team at the Hampyeong County Public Health Center.
Lee Sangik, Mayor of Hampyeong County, said, "Recognizing the importance of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, which have a high mortality rate, we hope for the participation of many companies so that early prevention can be achieved. We will continue to expand practical and high-quality programs to promote the health of our residents."
