View original imageHwasun Chonnam National University Hospital announced on May 21 that the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Cancer Survivorship Integrated Support Center recently conducted a "Fear of Recurrence Theory Education and Practice Program" for distress management of cancer survivors.
This program, held at Wolsan Mulgusip-ri Rural Experience and Recreation Village in Damyang, included various activities such as theoretical education and Korean traditional music experiences to promote emotional recovery and strengthen social support for cancer survivors.
Choi Yuri, Director of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Cancer Survivorship Integrated Support Center and Professor of Family Medicine at Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital, stated, "I hope that cancer survivors were able to relieve distress by stepping away from their daily routines and participating in diverse educational and experiential activities through this program." She added, "We will continue to support self-help groups so that participants can empathize with and support each other, helping them achieve emotional stability."
