Jinju City Presents "A Garden Like Jinju" at Seoul International Garden Expo
A 245-Square-Meter Exchange Garden Created in Seoul Boramae Park
Showcasing Regional Identity and Natural Beauty
Jinju City in South Gyeongsang Province announced that it has completed the creation of a municipal exchange garden within the Seoul Boramae Park exhibition area, ahead of the opening of the 2025 Seoul International Garden Expo on May 22.
This garden, created under the theme "A Garden Like Jinju, Jinju in the Garden," covers a total area of 245 square meters and is designed to reflect the regional identity and natural characteristics of Jinju City.
The garden features 'Hamo,' Jinju's representative character, and expresses the flow of nature within the city through elegant pathways inspired by the Namgang River. In addition, the use of arborvitae trees evokes the image of Jinju Fortress, incorporating the city's history and culture into the garden.
The 'Hamo,' Jinju's representative character, was placed at the Seoul International Garden Expo.

It is expected to serve as a foundation for both cities to develop garden culture together by creating gardens for each other and to foster ongoing exchanges through future garden expos.
Following Jinju City's creation of "A Garden Like Jinju, Jinju in the Garden" at the Seoul International Garden Expo, the Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to participate in the 2025 Korea Garden Industry Expo, which will be held in Jinju in June. Seoul will create an exchange garden under the theme "A Hidden Resting Place in the City, The Secret Garden of the Mind; Namsan."
A Jinju City official stated, "The creation of this exchange garden is a valuable opportunity to introduce Jinju's nature and culture to Seoul citizens through the medium of a garden," adding, "We will continue to promote the spread of garden culture and the development of the industry by creating gardens that reflect creativity and the unique identity of our region."
