Uiseong County Confirms No Tap Water Quality Issues... Publishes "2024 Water Quality Report"
Wicheon Source Water Rated as "Very Good"
All Water Quality Categories at Angye Purification Plant Deemed "Suitable"
Uiseong County in Gyeongbuk will begin distributing the "2024 Tap Water Quality Report" and the "Tap Water Quality Poster" starting from May 22, in order to provide residents with reliable information about tap water.
This year's report is available in two formats: a booklet and a poster. The poster will be displayed in multi-use facilities such as village halls and senior centers so that residents can easily check the information. The electronic version can also be accessed through the Uiseong County Waterworks and Sewerage Office website.
The report includes the results of water quality tests from the Andong Regional Waterworks and the Angye Water Purification Plant, water quality inspections for both general and old faucets, and the results of water quality tests for village waterworks and small-scale water supply facilities. It also contains practical information such as the tap water supply process, waterworks terminology, resident cooperation guidelines, and a Q&A section.
In particular, the source water from Wicheon used at the Angye Water Purification Plant was rated as "very good," and the purified tap water was found to be "suitable" in all categories.
Kim Jusu, the governor of Uiseong County, stated, "Because tap water is directly linked to the health of our residents, ensuring its quality is a fundamental duty of the administration. I hope this report will serve as an opportunity to increase residents' trust in tap water."
