Startup Support for the Middle-aged
in Response to the Risk of Local Extinction
Yeongju City in North Gyeongsang Province is recruiting participants for its 'Middle-aged Startup Support Program' to respond to the risk of local extinction and to support stable economic activities for the middle-aged population.
This program was established to alleviate the financial burden of initial startup costs and to support the successful entrepreneurship of the middle-aged by strengthening their practical business management capabilities.
Eligible applicants are prospective entrepreneurs or business owners who have been in business for less than one year (with annual sales of 150 million won or less), aged between 40 and 60 (born between January 1, 1964 and December 31, 1984), and who reside in Yeongju. Applications can also be submitted by teams of up to four people, provided that all team members are middle-aged and Yeongju citizens.
Selected participants will receive tailored support, including up to 10 million won in commercialization funds, entrepreneurship education, and expert consulting. In addition to this support, ongoing performance monitoring and feedback will be provided through interim evaluations and performance presentations.
Applications will be accepted from May 19 to May 30, and must be submitted in person or by mail through the Yeongju Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
