Worker in His 60s Dies Two Days After Fall at Gwangju Elementary School Construction Site
It was belatedly revealed that a worker in his 60s died while receiving treatment after falling at a new elementary school construction site in Gwangju.
According to Gwangju Bukbu Police Station and other sources on May 19, a worker, identified as A (61), fell from a height of 2 meters at a new elementary school construction site in Yongdu-dong, Buk-gu, on May 14.
A suffered a severe head injury immediately after the accident and was transported to a hospital, but ultimately died two days later, on May 16.
The police, together with the Ministry of Employment and Labor and other relevant agencies, plan to investigate the exact circumstances of the accident, as well as review the safety management practices at the construction site.
