Nara Yoon of Chosun University Hospital Selected for Ministry of Health and Welfare Research Project
Chosun University Hospital announced on the 19th that Nara Yoon, Professor of Infectious Diseases, has recently been selected for a research project in the field of "Technology Development for Enhancing Infection Response Capabilities in Medical Settings (R&D)" under the Ministry of Health and Welfare's "Healthcare Technology R&D Project."
Professor Yoon will carry out the project titled "Establishment and Demonstration of an Intelligent Bed Allocation Network for Infectious Disease Response." The research will be conducted over a total of three years, from April 1 of last month to December 31, 2027, with a grant of 150 million KRW.
This initiative is being promoted in line with the 2025 healthcare R&D policy direction, which aims to "realize an era of Healthcare 4.0 where all citizens are healthy." The project focuses on improving the level of healthcare technology, enhancing regional healthcare equity, and expanding biohealth exports.
Professor Yoon stated, "By establishing a network that efficiently allocates medical resources and optimizes bed assignments in the event of an infectious disease outbreak, we expect to significantly strengthen the response capabilities of the regional healthcare system."
