As a result of the inspection, it was confirmed that all necessary improvements to the facilities had been completed without issue.
Immediately after the accident in March, Changwon City worked intensively for more than 50 days to ensure the prompt reopening of Changwon NC Park. In cooperation with the Facilities Corporation, NC, and other related organizations, the city devoted all efforts to facility improvements and safety inspections, and with today's final inspection, all preparations for the reopening have been completed.
In particular, to objectively ensure the safety of the baseball stadium, the city formed a separate inspection team that included external experts such as architects starting from May 15. This team conducted on-site inspections over a period of four days, further enhancing the reliability of the process.
Jang Geumyong, Acting Mayor of Changwon, stated, "We mobilized all available resources of the city to fulfill our promise to citizens to complete all preparations for the reopening of Changwon NC Park by the 18th," and added, "Now that all preparations are complete, we will strengthen communication with the KBO and NC Dinos to ensure the home game schedule is finalized as soon as possible."
Meanwhile, Changwon City plans to transparently disclose and have verified the facility improvements at Changwon NC Park Masan Stadium to citizens on May 19.
