Korea Meteorological Administration Issues Heavy Rain Advisory for Southwestern Seoul Including Gangseo-gu
Heavy Rain Advisory Remains in Effect for Northeastern and Northwestern Seoul
The Korea Meteorological Administration announced that a heavy rain advisory would be issued for the southwestern region of Seoul as of 5:00 p.m. on May 16.
The advisory covers Gangseo-gu, Gwanak-gu, Yangcheon-gu, Guro-gu, Dongjak-gu, Yeongdeungpo-gu, and Geumcheon-gu.
A heavy rain advisory is issued when rainfall is expected to reach 60 mm or more in three hours, or 110 mm or more in twelve hours. Even with an umbrella, rain will soak below the knees. Caution is advised regarding accidents such as overflowing streams and rivers.
