Seocho District Achieves Top Grade for 9 Consecutive Years in Manifesto Pledge Fulfillment Evaluation
The Only District in Seoul to Receive the Highest Grade
Seocho District in Seoul has received the highest grade, 'SA', in the '2025 Third-Year Evaluation of Pledge Fulfillment and Information Disclosure by Local Government Heads', organized by the Korea Manifesto Center. Seocho District is the only autonomous district in Seoul to have maintained this top grade for nine consecutive years since 2017.
This evaluation covered 226 local governments nationwide and assessed five areas: completion of pledges, achievement of pledge goals, communication with residents, web communication, and consistency of pledges. Only local governments that scored 83 points or higher out of 100 were awarded the 'SA' grade.
Seocho District has actively promoted transparent communication with residents by openly disclosing pledge implementation plans and quarterly results on its website, operating a resident policy evaluation group, and strengthening web-based communication. Major pledges include the three-dimensional development of the Gyeongbu Expressway, construction of the Yangjae public parking lot, expansion of intelligent CCTV, renovation projects for Banpocheon, Yangjaecheon, and Yeouicheon, creation of the Yangjae AI Future Convergence Innovation District, and expansion of support policies for single-person households.
