Business Agreement Signed with Mungyeong City and Mungyeong Tourism Corporation
Extended Stays and Increased Revisit Rates through Seoul-Mungyeong Tourism Collaboration
On May 15, the Seoul Tourism Foundation signed a business agreement with Mungyeong City and Mungyeong Tourism Corporation to revitalize regional tourism. This agreement was promoted under the slogan "Seoul and Local Regions, Growing Together through Tourism," with the aim of creating a tourism ecosystem in which Seoul and local areas can prosper together.

View original imageThrough this agreement, the Seoul Tourism Foundation plans to focus on joint promotions to attract domestic and international tourists, building a tourism network, and activating cooperative projects between Seoul and Mungyeong. In particular, the foundation will strive to achieve 30 million inbound tourists by globally promoting Mungyeong's major tourism resources, such as Mungyeong Saejae, Mungyeong Eco World, Mungyeong Chasabal Festival, and Mungyeong Apple Festival.
Gil Kiyeon, CEO of the Seoul Tourism Foundation, also delivered a special lecture to 200 public officials of Mungyeong City on "Cases of Economic Revitalization through Regionally Specialized Tourism," sharing Seoul's tourism policies, cooperation models, and strategies for linking tourism resources between Seoul and Mungyeong.
The attendees agreed on the positive impact that cooperation between Seoul and Mungyeong can have on regional tourism and exchanged a variety of opinions on directions for tourism development.
