Seongbuk District Achieves 'Superior' Grade for Three Consecutive Years in Manifesto Pledge Implementation Evaluation
Transparent Disclosure of the Progress of Promises to Residents
On May 16, Seongbuk District in Seoul announced that it had achieved the highest SA (Superior) grade in the "2025 National Basic Local Government Heads' Pledge Implementation and Information Disclosure Evaluation" organized by the Korea Manifesto Implementation Headquarters, marking the remarkable achievement of receiving the top grade for three consecutive years.
The Korea Manifesto Implementation Headquarters comprehensively evaluated the performance of 227 basic local governments nationwide in five areas: pledge fulfillment, achievement of 2024 goals, efforts to communicate with residents, online communication, and consistency.
Seongbuk District received high scores in all categories, earning recognition for its top-tier performance nationwide in pledge implementation, administrative transparency, and resident participation. Having received the highest SA grade for three consecutive years, Seongbuk District has further solidified its reputation as a "regular honoree of the Korea Manifesto Implementation Headquarters."
Since the launch of the 8th popularly elected administration, Seongbuk District has set the vision of "Field-oriented! Livelihood-oriented! Happier Together in Seongbuk!" and is carrying out 77 pledge projects in six major areas to substantially improve residents' quality of life. The district also operates a resident jury to continuously monitor the implementation status and has transparently disclosed progress through both online and offline communication channels with residents.
Seongbuk District stated, "This SA grade is more than just an evaluation; it is evidence that Seongbuk District is faithfully keeping its promises to residents and that our continuous efforts toward better administration are bearing fruit," adding, "All public officials in Seongbuk District will continue to do their best to create changes that residents can truly feel, going beyond just fulfilling pledges."
