At the April meeting, the main topic was 'AI Administrative Work Efficiency,' which aims to enhance administrative efficiency in line with digital transformation. Uljin County has piloted GPT-based administrative support, applying AI to various tasks such as drafting press releases, organizing meeting minutes, and generating policy ideas. The county is also considering plans to expand the application of AI in the future.
The May meeting focused on several key issues, including the 'Selection of Unsung Heroes in Uljin Administration' project to identify and reward outstanding internal public officials, strengthening the text-based civil complaint feedback system, developing a branding strategy to enhance consistency and image in county government promotion, and expanding channels for collecting and communicating with residents' opinions. The participatory administration model, which actively reflects real-time communication with residents in administrative processes, emerged as a major agenda item.
Through these regular policy meetings, Uljin County continues to pursue integrated strategies linked to the direction of the 8th popularly elected county administration, and is upgrading the function of the meetings to serve as a policy platform that ensures execution, rather than simply reporting.
County Governor Son Byeongbok emphasized, "Policy meetings are a core governance tool that enables Uljin County to implement policies more swiftly and systematically," adding, "We will continue to strengthen communication with residents and do our utmost to improve the overall quality of county government policies."
