'Happy Consumption' for Family Month
Jinhae District of Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam conducted a price inspection focused on traditional markets and supermarkets in the area, aiming to reduce the shopping burden for ordinary citizens and establish a sound distribution order in celebration of Family Month.
This inspection, which took place on May 14 with the participation of price monitoring personnel from Jinhae District, focused on agricultural, livestock, and marine products, gift sets, and dining-out expenses, all of which see a sharp increase in demand during Family Month in May. In addition to monitoring price trends of major items, the inspection also checked for compliance with price labeling requirements, country-of-origin labeling, and any violations of transaction order.
Kwon Nanyeong, Head of the Economic and Transportation Division, stated, "As household spending increases during Family Month, we will strive to ensure that citizens can shop with peace of mind," and added, "We will continue to carry out price inspections so that the stabilization of prices for daily necessities can be felt by the public."
