Korea Creative Content Agency Establishes Content Specialist Training Center in Makassar, Indonesia
Additional Centers to Be Established in Four Cities This Year
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on May 15 that they established a content specialist training center at Fort Rotterdam in Makassar, Indonesia, on May 3. This institution aims to train local content production professionals through specialized education, including underwater filming techniques. It also supports the creation of documentaries and other works focused on maritime cultural heritage.
Mardison Tori, Director of Cultural Cooperation at Indonesia's Ministry of Culture, who attended the opening ceremony, stated, "This is an opportunity for local youth to acquire world-class documentary production skills and promote the value of Indonesia's maritime cultural heritage to the world." He added, "It is also significant in terms of efforts to strengthen the ecosystem in accordance with the Indonesian Cultural Advancement Law and the Cultural Heritage Law."

In addition to the centers already established in Jakarta and Makassar, the Korea Creative Content Agency plans to open additional content specialist training centers equipped with advanced production equipment in four more cities?Jambi, Badung, Sikka, and Cirebon?within this year. By 2027, the agency plans to provide practical training programs tailored to local culture and industry demand for local youth.
