Hecto Group Launches "Ttogether Campaign" for Resource Recycling with Employees
Hecto Group announced on May 15 that it is launching the "Ttogether Campaign," a resource recycling initiative that collects PET bottle caps and turns them into upcycled products as part of its ESG sharing project.
The Ttogether Campaign is a portmanteau of "Ttu," from the Korean word for "bottle cap," and "Together." It aims to encourage people to collect discarded plastic bottle caps together to help protect the environment.
Hecto Group developed the Ttogether Campaign to raise awareness about the importance of separating and recycling bottle caps and to promote the value of resource circulation. Over the course of about one month, the company will collect bottle caps and turn them into upcycled products, which will then be sold at the company's internal market. The proceeds from these sales will be donated to neighbors in need, including low-income households and children with illnesses.
To make it easy for employees to participate, Hecto Group has placed separate collection bins for bottle caps by color in its in-house caf?. In addition, to further encourage participation, the company will hold a raffle to give away upcycled products made from waste plastic, such as four-leaf clover keyrings, as prizes.
A Hecto Group representative stated, "This campaign is an employee-participation ESG project that aims to raise awareness about recycling in daily life and connects resource circulation with charitable donations. We will continue to strengthen our ESG management through a variety of social contribution activities."
Meanwhile, Hecto Group has been actively practicing ESG management by consistently donating funds and goods to local communities and vulnerable groups, including the Gangnam-gu Senior Integrated Support Center, Gangnam-gu Dream Start, and the single-parent support organization Groupmom. The company also regularly holds employee blood donation campaigns.
