Candidate Lee Jae Myung is the right person to take responsibility for the future of the fisheries sector in this time of crisis."
On this day, the association called for the active incorporation of Lee Jae Myung's fisheries pledges, including: the creation of a K-GIM national strategic industry cluster; the establishment of a national marine ecological park in the southwest coastal area; the development of a climate change response system for the maritime and fisheries sector; the formation of a seafood export cluster; and the establishment of a nationwide maritime transportation welfare system.
This declaration of support was initiated by Kim Moonsoo, a member of the Jeonnam Provincial Council. Kim stated, "The voices from the field in Jeonnam's fisheries industry must be actively reflected in setting the direction of fisheries policy for the next administration. This declaration of support will be the first step and a significant turning point for the future of Jeonnam's fisheries sector."
He added, "At the council level, we will continue legislative and budgetary activities to ensure that the policies following this declaration of support can be effectively implemented."
