This event was organized to express gratitude for the grace of parents and to foster a social atmosphere of respect for the elderly. The council members of Juwol 1-dong carefully pinned carnation brooches on the seniors' chests, wishing them good health.
Jo Daegyu, a member of the Juwol 1-dong Community Security Council, said, "I was glad to visit elderly people who might have spent Parents' Day alone and check on their well-being."
