Chungnam Province Conducts Safety Training for Construction Project Participants
Strengthening Competencies in Preparing and Reviewing Safety Management Plans
On May 14, the Chungnam Provincial Government conducted a capacity-building training session for approximately 250 provincial and city/county officials, as well as construction engineers in the province, at the cultural and education building of the Chungnam Provincial Library.
This training was organized to strengthen practical competencies for preparing and reviewing safety management plans at construction sites, in accordance with Article 98 of the Enforcement Decree of the Construction Technology Promotion Act.
The Korea Infrastructure Safety and Technology Corporation, which is the institution responsible for reviewing safety management plans, provided training to practitioners on the following topics: an introduction to laws and regulations related to safety management plans, methods for preparing safety management plans, and a guide to utilizing smart safety equipment.
Kim Yongmok, Director of Construction Policy at the provincial government, stated, "I hope that this training has helped practitioners deepen their understanding of the safety management plan system and served as an opportunity to strengthen their ability to apply it at actual construction sites."
