Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam will celebrate the 53rd Coming-of-Age Day on May 19 by congratulating young people who are reaching adulthood and delivering messages of encouragement for their bright futures and challenges through the city’s official website, electronic billboards, and official social media channels.
Coming-of-Age Day is a legal commemorative day designated by the government in 1973 to remind young people of their responsibilities as members of society and to instill pride in adulthood. It is observed annually on the third Monday of May. Changwon City conveys congratulatory messages through its official website and electronic billboards on this occasion.
Jang Geumyong, Acting Mayor of Changwon Special City, stated, "I sincerely congratulate all Changwon youth who are coming of age this year," and added, "I hope you will confidently move forward toward the bright future that awaits you, and Changwon Special City will continue to support your journey."
