Oasis Market Reports 6.2 Billion Won Operating Profit in Q1, Up 0.9% Year-on-Year
Sales Reach 134.9 Billion Won, Up 4.7% Year-on-Year
Oasis Market, a company specializing in early-morning delivery of fresh food products, announced on May 14 that its operating profit for the first quarter of this year was 6.2 billion won, a 0.9% increase compared to the same period last year. During the same period, sales rose by 4.7% to 134.9 billion won, and net profit reached 6.9 billion won, marking a 15% increase.
Although operating profit remained at a similar level to the previous year, sales reached a record high for a first quarter.
The company attributed these results to various promotions conducted in the first quarter and strong performance in its online division. To celebrate surpassing 2 million members in the first quarter, Oasis Market launched a special event and began aggressive marketing efforts from late February, including increased advertising spending and expanding delivery areas. The company explained that sales in March increased by 16% compared to December of last year, while online sales during the same period grew by 23%.
