Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (YGPA) announced on the 14th that it had signed a business agreement with the Jeonnam branch of the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRDK) to secure specialized personnel for companies located in the Gwangyang Port hinterland complex and to support their sustainable growth.
This agreement aims to cooperate in various fields for companies in the Gwangyang Port hinterland complex, including support for customized workforce training, provision of employment support services, and guidance and consultation services regarding employment and labor-related systems.

Hwang Hakbeom, acting president, said, "Through this collaboration, the training of customized talent and field-oriented educational support required by the tenant companies will be further strengthened," adding, "We will continue to strive to support the growth of these companies in the future."
Meanwhile, there are a total of 69 companies located in the Gwangyang Port hinterland complex, and in 2024, the total cargo volume handled in the hinterland complex reached 1.31 million TEU, marking the highest volume ever recorded.
