NongHyup Financial Group Launches Global Social Contribution Project with Good Neighbors
Completion Ceremony Held for Rural Environment Improvement Facilities
in Vietnam and Southeast Asia
NongHyup Financial Group announced on May 13 that it held the first completion ceremony for its global social contribution project, 'NH Change Makers,' in collaboration with Good Neighbors in Bao Village, Vinh Long Commune, Vinh Loc District, Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam.
This project was designed to enable residents in rural areas of Vietnam to solve local social issues on their own. The initiative was carried out by holding a business contest for local residents and implementing the selected proposals. In particular, the project was conducted in cooperation with the local government, including government-level subsidy support.
In December of last year, a contest was held, resulting in 44 proposals being submitted. Six projects were selected and implemented across four regions, including Thanh Hoa Province near Hanoi. Among these, the first to be completed was a facility in Bao Village to support residential wastewater treatment and improve sanitation.
