Inauguration Ceremony to Be Held at Naju Headquarters on May 15
Kim Injung, former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, has been appointed as the new head of the Korea Rural Community Corporation.
The Korea Rural Community Corporation announced on May 14 that Kim, the former Vice Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, has been appointed as its 12th President.

View original imageKim Injung, the new President, is a native of Jincheon, Chungbuk. He graduated from Cheongju Shinheung High School and Yonsei University with a degree in Public Administration. He began his public service career in 1994 after passing the 37th Higher Civil Service Examination. He has held key positions including Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Director of Planning and Finance, Director of Rural Policy, Director General of Development Projects at the Saemangeum Development Agency, Director General of Rural Policy at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Director General of Food Industry Policy, and Assistant Vice Minister. He served as the 58th Vice Minister for one year and three months starting in May 2022. He is recognized as an expert in agricultural policy, having developed and implemented agricultural and rural policies for nearly 30 years.
An official from the Korea Rural Community Corporation stated, "President Kim is particularly known for his expertise in food policy and rural policy, which are closely related to the Korea Rural Community Corporation. He is also regarded as the right person to lead the organization, as he is known for his rational approach to work, strong drive, and communicative leadership."
President Kim will hold his inauguration ceremony at the corporation's Naju headquarters on May 15.

Meanwhile, on May 4, the Government Public Officials Ethics Committee notified the approval of President Kim's employment following the 'March 2025 Employment Review for Retired Public Officials.' President Kim retired in July 2023.
