Woori Bank Delivers 246.3 Million Won Red Cross Membership Fee to Korean Red Cross

View original imageThe Korean Red Cross (Chairman Kim Cheolsu) announced on May 13 that Woori Bank (President Jung Jinwan) has delivered 246.3 million won as the Red Cross membership fee for 2025. The membership fee will be used for the Korean Red Cross’s humanitarian activities, including emergency support for families in crisis, disaster relief operations, and assistance for vulnerable groups.
At the handover ceremony, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was also signed for the 'Woorinaerisarang Trust Service.' This service is a system that allows assets such as inheritances to be entrusted and donated according to the donor’s wishes. The Korean Red Cross stated that, through cooperation with Woori Bank, a specialized trust institution, the reliability and transparency of legacy donations are expected to be enhanced.
Jung Jinwan, President of Woori Bank, said, "The trust expertise of Woori Bank and the relief capabilities of the Korean Red Cross will create synergy," adding, "We will build a donation platform where customers and society can grow together."
Kim Cheolsu, Chairman of the Korean Red Cross, stated, "The combination of Woori Bank’s consistent sharing and this new trust agreement has further strengthened the support system for disaster and vulnerable groups," and added, "We will do our utmost to ensure that donors’ valuable intentions are delivered to the field."
