Shinhan Asset Management Revamps Official 'SOL ETF' Website
Shinhan Asset Management announced on May 14 that it has revamped the official website for 'SOL ETF' (www.soletf.com) to efficiently provide investors with distribution information for various monthly dividend ETFs, including covered call products.
Through the revamp, the website now allows users to easily view key information such as monthly and annual distribution rates, distribution payment dates, and distribution payment details for products that pay monthly dividends, all from the main page. For ETFs utilizing covered call strategies, the site provides not only distribution information but also updates on option selling activities, thereby increasing the transparency of these strategies.
The main page of the website is organized into three categories. The "Main Products" tab introduces ETFs that have recently attracted significant investor attention, and clicking on a banner leads users to the detailed information page for each ETF.
The "Covered Call" tab provides distribution and option information for SOL ETF covered call products. Lastly, the "Monthly Dividend" tab offers distribution information for monthly dividend products that do not use covered call strategies, such as SOL US Dividend Dow Jones.
Kim Junghyun, Head of the ETF Business Division at Shinhan Asset Management, stated, "As the strategies of monthly dividend ETFs, including covered call products, become more diversified, it has become important to enhance investor accessibility to product information," adding, "As a leader in the domestic monthly dividend ETF market, we will continue to improve investor convenience through differentiated initiatives."
Shinhan Asset Management currently manages a total of 12 monthly dividend ETFs under the SOL ETF brand. Notable products include: the SOL US Dividend Dow Jones series, a leading domestic dividend growth ETF; the first monthly dividend parking-type ETF, SOL CD Rate & Money Market Active; the Korean version of TLTW, SOL US 30-Year Treasury Covered Call; and SOL Gold Covered Call Active, which allows investors to pursue both gold investment and monthly dividends simultaneously.
Last month, Shinhan Asset Management expanded its product lineup by listing the 'SOL Palantir Covered Call OTM Bond Mix' and 'SOL Palantir US Treasury Covered Call Mix' ETFs, which invest in global AI software leader Palantir and incorporate covered call strategies to pay monthly dividends.
The domestic monthly dividend ETF market has grown rapidly since June 2022, when Shinhan Asset Management launched Korea's first monthly dividend ETF, 'SOL US S&P500.' As of May 12, a total of 112 monthly dividend ETFs, including those with revised distribution cycles, are being managed, with total net assets reaching approximately 22.7 trillion KRW.
