Announces Goal to Achieve 2 Trillion KRW in Revenue Next Year
NCSoft announced on the 14th that its consolidated operating profit for the first quarter of this year was 5.2 billion KRW, a decrease of 79.7% compared to the same period last year.
Revenue was 360.3 billion KRW, down 9.5% from the same period last year. Net profit for the period was 37.5 billion KRW, a decrease of 34.3%.
By region, revenue was 228.3 billion KRW in Korea, 56.1 billion KRW in Asia, and 30.9 billion KRW in North America and Europe. Royalty revenue was 45 billion KRW, up 38% year-on-year.
By platform, mobile games generated 206.3 billion KRW in revenue, while PC games accounted for 83.3 billion KRW. Mobile games made up 57% of total revenue.
NCSoft has set a goal to achieve 2 trillion KRW in revenue next year. The company presented specific strategies, including: expanding legacy IP through large-scale updates, expanding service regions, and launching spin-off games; and accelerating the release of new IPs such as Aion2, LLL, Breakers, and Time Takers.
