Culture Ministry Launches Media AI Platform... Press Foundation Offers Over 8,000 Resources
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that, in collaboration with the Korea Press Foundation, it has established a specialized artificial intelligence (AI) platform for media data that is free for anyone to use, and will begin operations starting May 14, 2025.
The 'Media AI Platform' is an integrated platform that enables users to easily search and widely utilize the vast media data held by the Press Foundation. It covers everything from information retrieval on media surveys, research, and publications to generative AI-based content creation. The platform provides access to over 8,000 resources, including nationwide statistics such as the 'Media Audience Survey' and 'Social Media User Survey,' specialized data related to media and journalism such as the 'Journalist Awareness Survey' and 'Newspaper and Magazine Industry Survey,' as well as periodicals like 'Media Literacy' and 'Global Media Trends.'
The 'Media AI Platform' offers an integrated search function based on all surveys, research, and publications. Users can view search results by publication, utilize features such as relevance-based sorting, filtering by publication date, author, or title, and search for images and statistical tables within the text.
In addition, the 'Media AI Platform' provides immediate and context-aware conversational responses to user queries using generative AI technology. It also supports multi-turn conversations with up to three consecutive interactions, allowing for dialogue that reflects the context of previous questions. Furthermore, users can automatically generate a draft report (in seven formats) simply by entering a title and brief topic, and by uploading additional relevant attachments, the platform delivers even more accurate results, among other diverse features.
