The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) will hold the “Tomorrow Is the Lesson” open demonstration of excellent elementary classes and a lesson concert at the Busan National University of Education Elementary School at 1:30 p.m. on May 14.
Now in its 22nd year, this event is operated through the voluntary participation of teachers in elementary classroom innovation and change, and has established itself as a model for practical educational cooperation between universities and schools.
This year’s event is expected to draw approximately 900 participants, including elementary school teachers and education professionals from the Busan area, professors from Busan National University of Education, teachers from elementary school affiliates of national universities of education across the country, and prospective teachers.
Under the theme “Lessons That Ask Questions for Deep Learning,” classes in 11 subjects?including Korean, mathematics, and social studies?as well as creative experiential activities and special education classes, will be fully open to the public.
In addition, there will be 13 themed lesson concert lectures, along with opportunities for participants to share and reflect on their classroom experiences. The teaching and learning guides and thematic essays presented at the event will be posted on the Busan National University of Education Elementary School website, while videos of the open classes will be uploaded to the “Busan Teaching and Learning Platform” to support teachers’ research and sharing of lessons.
