Celiana Yulianti, a master's student in the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Systems Engineering at National Pukyong University (President Bae Sanghoon), won a gold medal and the Grand Prix Award at the "Advanced Innovation Global Competition (AIGC)" hosted by Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

View original imageCeliana Yulianti, an international student from Indonesia, was honored with these awards for presenting an outstanding research project at the competition held at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore on May 3 and 4, 2025.
She presented a project titled "Innovation for Future Marine Mobility: Smart Autonomous High-Speed Vessel with AI-Based Energy Optimization" (supervised by Professor Park Jongyong), which was recognized for its exceptional creativity and innovative research.
In this project, she developed a smart navigation system for high-speed vessels and attracted attention by integrating path tracking and energy optimization functions using artificial intelligence (AI).
Through this, she proposed the goal of minimizing human error, reducing the risk of maritime accidents, and realizing safer and more efficient autonomous marine operations, which received high praise.
As of April 2025, National Pukyong University has 1,648 international students from 63 countries enrolled in undergraduate, master's, doctoral, integrated master's and doctoral, exchange, training, and dual degree programs, and they are actively engaged in various academic fields.
