Osan City Announces Early Closure of Registration for Osancheon Walking Festival
To Be Held Along Osancheon on June 1
Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on May 12 that it has closed early the registration for the '2025 Osan Ddeuthan Osancheon Walking Festival,' which is scheduled to take place on June 1.
This event, co-hosted by the Osan City Sports Council and the Osan City Athletics Federation, offers citizens an opportunity to walk along the Osancheon stream, enjoy a healthy leisure activity, and participate in various side programs while communicating and interacting with one another.
The organizers originally planned the event for 2,000 participants, but explained that registration was closed early as more than 2,800 citizens signed up.
Participants will walk a 4-kilometer section along the Osancheon stream during the event. At the turnaround point, bottled water, souvenirs, and raffle tickets will be provided. After the walk, there will also be cultural performances and prize drawings.

Lee Gwonjae, Mayor of Osan, stated, "Osancheon is the space closest to the daily lives of our citizens," and added, "I hope that through this walking festival, many citizens will experience nature, communicate with each other, and create precious memories."
