Car Crashes Into Retaining Wall and Falls in Geoje ... Foreign Driver in 20s Dies

View original imageAt around 11:00 p.m. on May 11, a passenger car traveling on a winding road in Deokgok-ri, Hacheong-myeon, Geoje City, South Gyeongsang Province, collided with a retaining wall and fell down a slope approximately 4 meters high.
The accident occurred on an uphill S-shaped curve. After hitting the retaining wall on the right side of the road, the vehicle veered off and overturned in a field on the left side of the road.
As a result of the accident, the driver, a man in his 20s identified as A, was transported to the hospital but ultimately died.
According to police, A was a Vietnamese national and was driving without a license.
It was also reported that the vehicle did not have a drive recorder (black box) installed.
The police plan to investigate the exact circumstances of the accident based on footage from closed-circuit (CC) TV cameras in the area.
