The Democratic Party of Korea stated on May 11, "I have also received credible reports that Russian-made rifles have been brought in," adding, "There are also claims that the whereabouts of certain forces involved in insurrection are currently unknown."

View original imageCho Seungrae, head of public relations for the Central Election Campaign Committee, met with reporters at the party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, and said, "As threats of terror against our candidate continue to grow, we have established a counter-terrorism response team led by Kim Minseok, the standing election committee chairman."
Cho stated, "From our perspective, we cannot simply dismiss these threats as insignificant," and added, "There have actually been such movements, and since our candidate was indeed attacked, we will thoroughly prepare for these possibilities."
