Debris Falls from Administrative Welfare Center Rooftop Due to Heavy Rain and Wind, Injuring One Pedestrian
Debris from the rooftop of an administrative welfare center in Nam-gu, Gwangju fell onto the road due to heavy rain and wind, injuring one pedestrian.
According to Nam-gu officials in Gwangju on May 9, at around 1:30 p.m. that day, debris from the rooftop of the Wolsan 4-dong Administrative Welfare Center building in Nam-gu, Gwangju, fell onto a nearby road as a result of heavy rain and wind.
As a result of the accident, a pedestrian in their 60s, identified as A, sustained a scratch to the forehead and was transported to a hospital. The upper parts of five vehicles parked nearby were also partially damaged.
While the police are investigating the exact cause of the accident, Nam-gu plans to strengthen safety measures, including inspections of rooftop facilities.
