Gyeonggi Province Launches "A Thousand Books Road" Book Busking, Embarking on a Reading Journey
Gyeonggi Province is launching the "Traveling Book Busking" initiative to propose a reading journey of "A Thousand Books Road" to enrich the lives of its residents.
Book Busking is a mobile reading project that visits everyday locations such as traditional markets and parks throughout the province, where residents can gather to read books and share their thoughts together.
The first event will take place at 2:00 p.m. on May 9 at Hangul Market in Yeoju. There will be a reading of the book "Body Sound," recommended by singer Lim Youngwoong. In addition, Yeoju University will donate 100 books with the message "We support 100 books, 100 dreams." The donated books will be available for anyone to freely read through the "Book Truck A Thousand Books Road" mobile book cafe.
