In response, union members prepared 120 bags of rice, each weighing 4 kilograms, further enhancing the spirit of sharing.
The company also joined the union's generous initiative by providing additional support through a matching grant system, contributing 120 boxes of locally grown tomatoes and 240 sets of fresh flatfish, thereby enriching the event with even more abundance.
The carefully prepared rice and local specialties will be delivered, along with warm wishes, to approximately 120 households in need through the local social welfare councils of Gampo-eup, Munmu-daewang-myeon, and Yangnam-myeon.
Jung Wonho, head of Wolseong Headquarters, stated, "It was a truly meaningful occasion as labor and management came together to share warmth with our neighbors," adding, "We will continue to fulfill our role as a model public enterprise that coexists with the local community through various social contribution activities."
In addition to purchasing and sharing local specialties, Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters is working to revitalize the local economy through a variety of initiatives, including traditional market shopping events, off-season agricultural and fisheries industry support programs, and voucher assistance for residents of East Gyeongju.
