View original imageGwangju Urban Corporation (President Kim Seungnam) held a volunteer activity on May 8, Parents' Day, serving meals at a free meal service center for local elderly and underprivileged people, together with its executives and employees.
The event took place at the Gwangju Volunteer Center of the Korean Red Cross free meal service in Imdong, Bukgu, where warm meals were served to about 250 elderly people and local residents, and time was spent checking in on their well-being. Around 20 employees of the corporation and volunteers participated in the event, dedicating themselves to various volunteer activities such as serving food, washing dishes, and cleaning.
President Kim Seungnam said, "It was a meaningful time to share warm hearts with our neighbors in celebration of Family Month in May," and added, "We will continue to carry out sharing activities together with the local community in the future."
Meanwhile, the corporation plans to continue fulfilling its role as a leading public enterprise in the region through a variety of social contribution activities, including support for underprivileged groups in the local community, as well as this volunteer event.
