Korean Patent Attorneys Association Invites Innovative Ideas for Practical Application at Disaster Sites
A job invention contest is being held to solicit innovative ideas that can be applied at disaster sites.
The Korean Patent Attorneys Association announced on May 8 that it will host the "Job Invention Contest in the Field of Disaster and Safety Management," organized by the association and sponsored by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
This contest is being held for the first time this year to discover practical and creative ideas that can actually be applied to disaster and safety management tasks.
Any local government official (group applications are not allowed) may submit their ideas by filling out the application form and sending it to the association's email by June 15.
Further details about the contest, including the submission form, can be found on the websites of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety or the Korean Patent Attorneys Association.
The association plans to review the submitted proposals, select five outstanding ideas, and provide consulting support to help these ideas proceed to patent application and registration. In principle, the patents filed will belong to the local government to which the proposer is affiliated. However, this may vary depending on the relevant ordinances of each local government.
Outstanding idea proposers will also receive a Minister of the Interior and Safety Award, along with a prize of 1 million won each.
