Encouraging Public Interest and Participation in the National Sports Festival, Creating a Festival Atmosphere
Enhancing the Competitiveness of Busan Sports by Supporting Outstanding Local Student Athletes
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) will officially launch the 'Dream Tree Athlete Sponsorship Campaign' this month to ensure the success of the 106th National Sports Festival, which will be held in Busan in October.
This campaign is intended to raise public interest in the National Sports Festival, discover and support outstanding student athletes in the region, and enhance the competitiveness of Busan sports.
The Office of Education plans to collaborate with broadcasters and companies interested in sponsorship to produce and air documentaries spotlighting promising student athletes. Building on this, they aim to continue ongoing sponsorship and promotional efforts. The first broadcast will air at 9:30 a.m. on May 10 on the 'Dream Track: To You Standing at the Starting Line' segment within MBC's 'Sports Relay Seat,' featuring the Dongju Girls' Middle School Basketball Team as the first main subject.
Superintendent Kim Seokjun stated, "Through the Dream Tree Sponsorship Campaign, we hope to widely promote the passion and potential of student athletes and help generate excitement for the National Sports Festival, which is being held in Busan for the first time in 25 years." He added, "We ask for the interest and participation of all sectors to ensure the successful hosting of the festival and the continued development of sports in Busan."
