Gyeonggi-do Expands Early Childhood Educational Materials Delivery Service from 4,440 to 15,990 Households
Gyeonggi-do is significantly expanding its 'Early Childhood Educational Materials and Teaching Aids Delivery Service,' which delivers customized educational materials and teaching aids tailored to the developmental stages of infants and toddlers directly to homes, along with play guidance support.
On May 8, Gyeonggi-do announced plans to refine the service by segmenting the support targets into three age groups: 0-11 months, 12-23 months, and 24-35 months, reflecting participant feedback this year. The annual support frequency will also be increased to three times a year, in May, July, and September, with the service planned for a total of 15,990 households. Last November, Gyeonggi-do supported 4,440 households with children aged 0-24 months and 25-47 months.

Selected households will receive educational materials and teaching aids worth about 30,000 KRW via parcel delivery: for 0-11 months, a play tent and shape blocks; for 12-23 months, a safari bus, rainbow blocks, and shark fishing set; and for 24-35 months, a magnetic block play set.
Gyeonggi-do will also provide non-face-to-face education that includes instructions on how to use the materials and teaching aids, as well as play ideas, in addition to the delivery of the materials themselves.
