"Pig Bar Goes Low Sugar"... Lotte Wellfood Launches Three New Low-Sugar Products
Introducing Low-Sugar Lineup of Pig Bar, Seolleim, and Weezle
Sugar Content Ranges from 2.0g to 2.4g
On May 7, Lotte Wellfood announced that it will introduce low-sugar versions of three products: 'Pig Bar', 'Seolleim', and 'Weezle'.
The new products include a total of three varieties: 'Pig Bar Low Sugar', 'Seolleim Milkshake Low Sugar', and 'Weezle Rich Vanilla Low Sugar'. The Pig Bar Low Sugar faithfully recreates the harmonious taste of the original Pig Bar, which combines cookies, vanilla ice cream, and strawberry jam. Seolleim Milkshake Low Sugar also replicates the cool and smooth milk flavor of the original product. Weezle Rich Vanilla Low Sugar is characterized by its smooth and rich vanilla aroma, and it is the first single-flavor ice cream released under the Weezle brand.
These products are notable for their significantly reduced sugar content. Each product contains between 2.0g and 2.4g of sugar per 100ml, which is up to about 87.8% lower than similar products in the same food category.

Lotte Wellfood is strengthening its competitiveness by applying the current 'low-sugar trend' to its existing mega-brand ice creams. In February, the company launched new low-sugar products such as 'World Cone Vanilla Low Sugar' and 'Tico Milk Choco Low Sugar'. These two products sold approximately 2 million units within 80 days of their release.
