Lee Junseok Says "No Plans to Meet Kim Moonsoo or Han Ducksoo"
Dismisses Possibility of a Conservative "Big Tent" Alliance
On May 6, Lee Junseok, the presidential candidate of the Reform New Party, drew a clear line in response to some political circles' calls for forming a "big tent" alliance with Kim Moonsoo, the People Power Party candidate, and Han Ducksoo, an independent preliminary candidate, stating, "I have no plans to meet with either of them."
On this day, Lee wrote on his social media, "People keep asking whether I will meet with Kim Moonsoo and Han Ducksoo," and added, "I will not answer questions about whether I have contacted them, and I have no plans to meet with either of them." The previous day, he also stated, "I don't understand why my name keeps being included on the list for unification when I have already said I don't want it, and this is essentially a secondary offense. I have consistently declared my intention to see this presidential race through to the end without wavering even once, so please do not include my name in discussions about a big tent or similar alliances going forward."
