Local Elementary, Middle, and High School Students Create Art on the Theme of "Travel"
Sixty Outstanding Works to Be Exhibited Throughout Gwangju
The '2025 Gwangju Student Art Exhibition', sponsored by Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Donghun), has concluded successfully. Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Gwangju Shinsegae organized this competition to promote youth art in the region and continues to provide various forms of support.
The award ceremony was held on May 3 at the Gwangju Museum of Art. Gwangju Mayor Kang Gijeong, Gwangju Museum of Art Director Yoon Ik, Gwangju Museum Association Chairperson Kim Younghee, and Gwangju Shinsegae CEO Lee Donghun attended the event to encourage the award winners.

View original imageThis year's exhibition was themed 'Travel', with elementary, middle, and high school students submitting their works. Participants who passed the first round of judging underwent the final evaluation at an on-site drawing competition held on April 19. The participants completed their works on-site using pencils, colored pencils, and crayons, ensuring a fair assessment process.
Sixty outstanding works will be exhibited at the Gwangju Museum of Art from May 1 to 11, and at the Gwangju Shinsegae Gallery from May 15 to 27.
CEO Lee Donghun stated, "Thanks to the enthusiastic participation of the students, the competition concluded successfully," and added, "We will continue to engage in various activities together with the local community."
