Eligible taxpayers can file their Comprehensive Income Tax electronically through the National Tax Service's Hometax and the local tax payment system Wetax, which are linked in real time. After filing the Comprehensive Income Tax, they can conveniently proceed with the Personal Local Income Tax with just one click, without any additional authentication.
The National Tax Service will sequentially send filing guidance notices regarding the Comprehensive Income Tax via mobile (KakaoTalk and text message). For taxpayers who do not receive the mobile notice, a paper notice will be sent. For any inquiries regarding the filing and payment of the Comprehensive Income Tax and Personal Local Income Tax, taxpayers can contact the dedicated call center for assistance.
Meanwhile, Gokseong County will operate a Comprehensive Income Tax filing desk throughout May on the 5th floor multipurpose hall of the Gokseong Leisure and Culture Center. From May 27 to June 2, a joint intensive filing period will be held in cooperation with the tax office, and on May 28, free consultations with the "Visiting Village Tax Accountant" service will be offered. Taxpayers who have received the "Pre-filled" guidance notice from the National Tax Service, in which the filing information is prepared in advance, can visit the Leisure and Culture Center to receive filing assistance services.
Export company representatives and taxpayers located in special disaster areas are granted a three-month extension for payment and may pay by September 1. However, even if the payment deadline is extended, the filing must still be completed by June 2 to avoid penalties such as additional taxes.
A county official stated, "We strongly encourage the active use of electronic filing methods such as Hometax in addition to in-person filing. We will do our utmost in promotion and operation to minimize any inconvenience or confusion for taxpayers."
