Dong-Eui University and Kosin University Sign Agreement to Strengthen Capabilities in AgeTech Sector
Expectations for Enhanced Cooperation and Exchange in Education and Research, Including Human and Material Resources
On May 2, Dong-Eui University signed a memorandum of understanding with Kosin University to strengthen educational cooperation and capabilities in the AgeTech sector. The signing ceremony took place in the Global Conference Room on the second floor of the university's main building.
The ceremony was attended by Suhwan Han, President of Dong-Eui University; Imgeon Lee, Vice President of External Affairs; Jinseok Seo, Director of Planning; Sunghui Kim, Director of Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation; Jungki Lee, President of Kosin University; Jeongchan Kang, Director of External and International Affairs at Kosin University; and other officials.

View original imageThrough this agreement, the two universities agreed to cooperate in several areas: developing and operating joint educational programs based on a shared university system, conducting joint research, demonstrations, practical training, and startup support related to medical devices, jointly developing technologies and services in the AgeTech field, mutually sharing and utilizing medical and healthcare data, and engaging in strategic exchanges such as academic events, international cooperation, and community engagement.
Suhwan Han, President of Dong-Eui University, stated, "The exchange of strengths between our two universities in areas such as medical and healthcare will not only serve as a foundation for the Glocal project but also for becoming a leading K-AgeTech university. We expect this to create opportunities to foster advanced medical fields in an aging society."
Jungki Lee, President of Kosin University, said, "We will spare no effort in providing continuous support, including close cooperation and exchange, to promote the development and activation of the medical device and AgeTech sectors pursued by both universities."
Dong-Eui University has proposed, as part of the Glocal University 30 project, a vision to become a 'K-AgeTech leading university that leaps from Busan to the world.' The university aims to link its specialized fields?biohealth, public and social welfare, tourism and convention, and smart IT manufacturing technology?with Busan City's strategic industries such as biohealth, lifestyle, cultural tourism, digital technology, and convergence components and materials. Through this, the university seeks to establish a regional AgeTech industry ecosystem and promote the revitalization of the local economy by advancing into global markets.
