Korea Jokgu Association Donates 16.79 Million Won in Wildfire Relief Funds to Andong City

for Wildfire Relief Efforts
Jokgu enthusiasts in South Korea have donated 16,790,000 won to Andong, North Gyeongsang Province, which suffered significant damage from wildfires.
The Korea Jokgu Association announced on May 2 that it had donated relief funds for residents of Andong who are struggling due to the worst wildfires in history, expressing hope that they will be able to return to their daily lives as soon as possible.
On April 30, Lee Daejae, president of the association, Song Seho, director of public relations, Oh Seungtaek, president of the North Gyeongsang Jokgu Association, and others visited Andong City Hall and delivered 16,790,000 won in "wildfire relief donations" to Kwon Ki-chang, mayor of Andong.
The donations presented that day were collected by Jokgu families nationwide, including Lee Daejae, president of the association. The fundraising campaign was held last month and the amount was raised in just over ten days.
Lee Daejae stated, "Jokgu families have come together to give courage and hope to the residents of Andong, who are still suffering from wildfire damage," and added, "Jokgu enthusiasts are extending their support so that they can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
Kwon Ki-chang, mayor of Andong, expressed his gratitude, saying, "The love sent by the Jokgu Association brings hope and inspiration to the victims struggling due to the wildfires," and added, "The love of the Jokgu families will have a positive influence on our neighbors."

The Jokgu Association also plans to donate relief funds to Sancheong County and Hadong County in South Gyeongsang Province, areas affected by wildfires, as part of its efforts to promote a culture of sharing and contribute to society.
