Woori Bank Launches "Woori Naerisarang Savings Account" Offering Up to 8% Annual Interest
Base Interest Rate of 2% Per Annum... Up to 6% Preferential Rate Benefits
Limited to the First 100,000 Accounts
Available for Subscription Until the End of September
On May 2, Woori Bank announced the launch of the "Woori Naerisarang Savings Account" in celebration of Family Month, allowing customers from the parent generation to gift their children high-interest benefits.
This product allows senior customers aged 50 or older to receive a "subscription code" through Woori WON Banking and give it to their children or grandchildren aged 29 or younger. The younger generation can then open a savings account with an interest rate of up to 8.0% per annum. Subscriptions are limited to the first 100,000 accounts and are available until September 30.
The subscription code is provided once to customers who receive their salary or pension through Woori Bank. It can be requested in the following order on Woori WON Banking: access the app, go to Benefits at the bottom, select Events, and then choose "Gift your heart with a savings account at up to 8% per annum." The recipient of the code does not need to be a family member, and each person can use the code only once.
The "Woori Naerisarang Savings Account" allows a maximum monthly deposit of 300,000 KRW with a one-year maturity. The base interest rate is 2.0% per annum, with up to 6.0% additional preferential interest. The three preferential rate conditions are: 4.0% per annum for automatic transfers from a Woori Bank account, 1.0% per annum if the customer does not hold any other Woori Bank deposit or savings products, and 1.0% per annum for non-face-to-face subscriptions.
