Delivering Gratitude to 100 Elderly Residents
The Women's Association Council of Amtae-myeon, Sinan County, South Jeolla Province (Chairwoman Kyunghee Kim), delivered “Hyo Packages” to elderly people from vulnerable groups in celebration of Family Month in May.
According to the council on May 2, members personally delivered carnations, rice cakes, fruit, and beverages?carefully prepared with respect for the elderly?to 100 elderly people living alone in the area. Through this meaningful event, they expressed their gratitude to the seniors and spent time communicating with them.

View original imageIn particular, this year's carnation presentation ceremony was made even more special by the support of the Amtae-myeon Community Social Security Council, which donated 100 carnations, 100 sets of rice cakes, and 100 beverages to convey gratitude and love to the elderly living alone in the community, leaving a touching impression.
Kyunghee Kim, chairwoman of the Amtae-myeon Women's Association Council, said, “In celebration of Parents’ Day, I hope this occasion will be a chance to wish for the health and longevity of our elders, to reflect once again on their dedication and hard work, and to put filial piety into practice.”
Tak Kwoncheol, head of Amtae-myeon, said, “I am pleased that Parents’ Day has provided an opportunity to express respect and gratitude to our elders,” and added, “I would like to express my deep appreciation to the Amtae-myeon Women's Association Council for voluntarily participating in preparing and delivering the gifts, and to all the local organizations for their generous support.”
